Holy Rood House

Time and Space to Learn Together

The community of Holy Rood House is always on a learning curve. We learn from  all who come to visit us, from the changing seasons and gardens around us, the creative arts programme, the theology centre, from the local community within which we’re situated, and from the political changes that affect us.

We seek to provide a learning environment, an empowering space so we are able to learn more about ourselves and others through our therapeutic and spiritual journeys.  Click here for more information.

Our two houses provide the ideal spaces for our learning together.

We invite our visitors to learn alongside us. Offering women’s spirituality courses and men’s spirituality retreats we find places to share those things that matter to us among like minded people. Our courses such as well-being in the lives of older people, how to take care of ourselves and stress management all support our learning programme.

In addition we run an annual retreat for women clergy and often support groups that come to us, through training and facilitation.

In 2000 we opened The Centre for the study of Theology and Health within which to continue our learning at a more focused level. Please click here for leaflet.

We are fortunate to have well qualified and experienced trainers linked with the community, and through this resource we offer an on-going series of Trauma Training Days.

Learning also includes our well-being training days  for example, in Tai Chi , the Alexander Technique or Indian Head Massage.

Follow through these web-pages to discover more…and come and learn alongside us.
